At the Registered Nurses Foundation of B.C. (RNFBC), we support the future of healthcare in British Columbia by providing bursaries to nurses pursuing both basic and advanced education.  These bursaries are available to Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs). Every donation helps ensure that nurses—new and experienced—have access to opportunities that enhance their skills, support patient care, and address today’s most urgent healthcare needs.

Your support helps them advance their expertise in fields in our communities, such as senior complex care, mental health, and Indigenous healthcare. Together, we can ensure that nurses have the skills and education needed to deliver exceptional care where it’s needed most.

How contributions will be used for Giving Tuesday.

Every dollar raised will directly support bursaries for nurses across BC. Here’s how your contribution can make an impact:

Any amount below $500: Your contribution will top up an existing bursary. This year, 9 bursaries needed additional funding to reach the $1,000 annual payout. $500: Funds 50% of a full bursary for a nurse specializing in an area of high need. $1,000: Funds one full bursary for a nurse specializing in an area of high need. Your donation ensures nurses across BC, in roles such as LPNs, NPs, RNs, and RPNs, have the financial support they need to pursue critical training and education opportunities.
