What RNFBC Makes Possible

At the Registered Nurses Foundation of B.C. (RNFBC), we support the future of healthcare in British Columbia by providing bursaries to nurses pursuing both basic and advanced education. These bursaries are available to Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Nurse Practitioners (NPs), and Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs).

This year, we are proud to highlight our Certificate Program Bursary, which helps nurses pursue specialized training that directly improves patient care.

In 2025, 56 nurses applied for support. Due to limited resources, we were only able to fund 9 nurses — just 16% of applicants.

Every donation helps ensure that nurses—new and experienced—have access to opportunities that enhance their skills, advance their careers, and support the health needs of communities across B.C.

How You Can Support Nurses This Giving Tuesday

Your donation supports $500, $1,000, or $1,500 bursaries, depending on the cost of each certificate program and the needs of applicants who have already completed their courses at their own expense. Your contribution ensures nurses have the financial support they need to pursue specialized education that strengthens care in communities throughout BC.
