Learning Disabilities Association of Wellington County hasn't added a story.
We are the Learning
Disabilities Association of Wellington County - a charitable,
non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of
children, youth and adults with learning disabilities so that they
can reach their full potential and find success.
We offer programs to help develop skills such as
reading, executive function, social skills, transition to high
school and typing.
We need your help. The families we serve need your
help. When the world was impacted by COVID-19, we pivoted to on-line
programming. It was a success. Now, as we look ahead at the return
of in-person services, we find ourselves needing a location. A safe
space for families to come and get support while participating in
our programs.
We are seeking to raise enough money to:
-Build our lending library with materials,
resources and books
(Any amount helps!)
-Support families by subsidizing their child in
one of our programs
($250 per child)
-Advocacy support for a family in crisis
($100)
-A single tutoring session for one of our
students
($25)
-Sponsoring our Annual Family Conference
($5000)
-Lease an accessible space for in-person
services
($25,000 for a 2-year lease)
Through outreach, education, advising and advocacy, the Learning
Disabilities Association of Wellington County’s mandate is to
advance the education, employment, social development, legal rights
and general well-being of individuals with learning disabilities.
We hope you can help us. Thank you for considering
us in your charitable giving.
