It’s a temporary place that, with determination, commitment, and support, becomes long-lasting recovery.  Through our holistic treatment approach at McDougall House, our clients acquire the tools to overcome the effects of trauma, substance dependency, and compulsive behaviors for good.  By the time they leave, they have the confidence and ability to create stable, healthy, happy futures. They are renewed.

The need for addiction treatment in Edmonton and surrounding areas is acute.  In Alberta there are only three residential addiction treatment centers solely serving women.  Of those, McDougall House is unique, being the only second stage addiction treatment center.  We are an accredited 12 - bed facility, welcoming women 18 years and older who have completed an in-patient treatment program.  Clients stay with us for 3 - 6 months, though some have extended their time up to a year.  Local area women make up our client majority, but we attract applicants from across Alberta.
