The Mariposa Hospice House holds a special place in my heart, primarily because it is where my Nana is receiving compassionate and exceptional care during this important time in her life. The environment at Mariposa is not just a facility; it feels like a home filled with warmth, love, and understanding. This atmosphere is crucial for both patients and their families, as it helps ease the emotional burden of facing end-of-life challenges.
One of the most significant aspects of Mariposa Hospice House is the personalized care that each resident receives. The staff is dedicated and trained to provide not only medical assistance but also emotional and spiritual support. They take the time to understand the unique needs and preferences of each individual, ensuring that my Nana feels comfortable and respected.
This tailored approach to care makes a world of difference in her quality of life, allowing her to spend her days in a serene and supportive setting.
Additionally, the sense of community at Mariposa is incredibly comforting. Families are welcomed with open arms, creating an environment where we can share our experiences, find solace in each other, and feel less alone in our journey. The support groups and resources available help us navigate the emotional complexities of this phase, allowing us to focus more on spending quality time with my Nana rather than worrying about logistics or care decisions. Knowing that she is in such a nurturing place gives me peace of mind and allows me to cherish the moments we have together.
Hospice Orillia and Mariposa House Hospice are excited to be partnering on the 2025 annual Hike for Hospice!!
On Sunday, May 4th, 2025, we will gather in person for the annual Hike for Hospice in support of:
Hospice Orillia and Mariposa House Hospice.
The Hike for Hospice is integral for both organizations as it enhances our sense of community, increases awareness of Hospice Palliative Care, and raises much-needed funds. 100% of the proceeds stay in the Orillia area by directly supporting the services offered by Hospice Orillia and Mariposa House Hospice; these organizations work together to provide services across the continuum of hospice palliative care, from diagnosis through end-of-life, including bereavement support for surviving loved ones.
We look forward to you joining us in person for the 2025 Hike for Hospice. Details on what the day will entail are to follow.
