It's spring which means it's time for me to ask friends and family to donate to my "Hike for Hospice" campaign!

It's my 20th year supporting this event - I started in Toronto in 2003 and migrated north a few years later!

Now my kids participate too which makes it extra fun.

Hospice care is so important to me because, at some point in our lives, all of us will need support during illness, caregiving or grief.

For me, hospice care is the ultimate expression of community... neighbours supporting neighbours during life's most difficult moments.

I want our local hospice organizations to be healthy so that everyone can get support when they need it.
